[DONE] Semi-official Gentoo packages just arrived
#1
Hi!

There is a semi-official package for Sayonara Player in Gentoo now.
User would run
Code:
sudo layman -a betagarden
sudo emerge -av media-sound/sayonara-player
to install it.

It would be cool to include that information on the downloads page.

I don\'t see any showstoppers for having it in core Gentoo at some point, as well.

The ebuild / files are up here:

Best, Sebastian

When uploading new packages, a ebuild file is created automatically. You can use this and update this https://sayonara-player.com/downloads.php. To stay up to date about new releases, you can register to the RSS Feed on the top right.

I have subscribed to the feed and have started keeping the ebuild in betagarden up to date.
While I appreciate the effort on ebuild update automation, packaging does need changes over time: my ebuild has diverged by now and will keep evolving over time. So my personal vote would be to no longer generate ebuilds automatically or to have changes merged back into the automation processes. Thanks!

Sounds good. Then I will stop that ebuild publishing and you stay in touch with new versions via the feed. If you have any trouble, please let me know
